Etsy is looking for a creative and visionary leader to join the Trust & Safety organization!

As the T&S Decisioning Platform Manager you support Trust & Safetys mission to Keep Commerce Human by building and maintaining our portfolio of automated controls. You will partner with Product, Engineering (including Machine Learning), and Analytics to take our risk detective system to the next level, unlocking its full potential and enabling Trust and Safety to scale. You will serve as a holistic subject matter expert for automated controls at Etsy.

This is a full-time position within our Trust & Safety team located in Hudson, NY, Brooklyn, NY, or Dublin reporting to the VP of Trust & Safety. Were also open to remote hires within all U.S. states except Hawaii and Alaska.

About the Role

In this role you will:

* Set and execute a long term vision and strategy for the decisioning platform that keeps Etsy a safe and welcoming marketplace.

* Enable Trust & Safety teams to efficiently scale as the marketplace grows, balancing automation, and human review to mitigate new and emerging risks.

* Define what success for controls looks like and how its measured, including visibility, prevalence, buyer impact, etc

* Own and monitor performance dashboards for our suite of controls

* Own organizational change processes around automated controls, including documentation of changes in a change log. Iterate and improve this process to add efficiency.

* Conduct regular testing of controls to ensure sound decision strategy implementation

* Work with Product, Engineering, Analytics and T&S leadership to identify and isolate the potential effects of product changes on T&S automated controls, risks, and exposure locations (e.g. Product team builds ability to up vote reviews), coordinating updates to automated controls and the Marketplace Risk Taxonomy, as appropriate.

Qualifications

About You

Ideally you'll bring:

* Minimum of 6 years of experience in project or program management

* Experience with e-commerce fraud, content moderation, and/or online abuse

* Experience building or monitoring automated controls

* Proven track record of inspiring change that's resulted in increased impact and efficiency for your internal customers

* 4+ years work experience doing qualitative and quantitative analysis. Practical analytics experience in risk, platform abuse, spam, or payments is highly desired.

* Work independently to define and contain complex problems, prioritize effectively, and deliver quickly

* Work out loud and share your progress and thinking to arrive at solutions collaboratively and iteratively

* Think and communicate clearly, in a way that builds trust across functions and hierarchies: you can synthesize and communicate complex concepts and analyses for both technical and non-technical audiences.

* Experience with large fast evolving organization
