Job Description

Global Partner Engineering & Tech is looking to hire a Technical Program Manager to own and drive processes for platform integrity and user privacy related technology projects and initiatives. This person will be responsible for engaging a number of stakeholders in Engineering, Product, Compliance, Legal and Privacy teams and help formulate and drive the execution of cutting edge technical solutions to solve problems and alleviate future risk to our systems. This role allows for a high degree of ownership of the solutions you launch and the ability to make positive change every day.

Technical Program Manager Responsibilities

* Understand and coordinate the technical requirements on behalf of the Partnerships org with Facebooks Integrity and Privacy teams

* Collaborate with subject matter experts, partners, and key internal product stakeholders to provide tools and services that will increase efficiency and improve the productivity and experience of developers, users and the business teams they work with

* Understand engineering concepts, practices, product area and/or systems to solve complex problems and drive change

* Ensure team-level goals are aligned to achieve engineering design and implementation deliverables

* Apply data driven decision making to arrive at actionable insights and influence technical decision making within your specific area of responsibility or team

* Establish goals and continue to refine them throughout the program lifecycle keeping cross-functional teams in the loop (SMART approach to goals and success metrics)

* Leverage existing automation/tools to reduce manual effort and repetitive work with engineering support

* Build relationships with key stakeholders to galvanize interest, resolve conflicts and manage their expectations to achieve project goals

* Proactively identify risks to milestones/deliverables and support tech leads in development of mitigation plans. Creatively rearrange deliverables based on stakeholder impact to achieve goals

* Create a program communication plan based on an existing communication strategy and execute on it to keep stakeholders informed

* Demonstrate a high degree of independence and effectiveness in driving execution, work with the team to achieve established goals and identify and document possible improvements for future projects

Minimum Qualifications

* 4+ years of experience in technology program management focused on software experience in working on development infrastructure and tools

* Knowledge of software development processes and best practices. Knowledge with project and issue tracking systems

* Analytical and problem-solving experience

* Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

* Experience in fostering seamless cross-functional working relationships in medium to large organizations. Includes working with and communicating with multiple partner teams and cross-functional partners

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in user privacy, integrity and compliance products

* Experience working in a fast-paced, tech focused, web/internet start-up environment

* Experience with software development lifecycle, technical execution, implementing new tools and change management for large company wide programs
