Position Summary
Responsible for the development and/or acquisition of all leadership development programs to upskill leaders from frontline management to executives. Oversee executive onboarding, executive coaching programs, and executive career pathing. Build a robust leadership training library to reinforce the Kroger Leadership Model and strengthen leader capabilities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deploy and assess the effectiveness of leadership training. Gauge progress of initiatives against budget and milestones, ensuring requirements are being met by tracking defined metrics. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Essential Job Functions

* Develop a comprehensive leadership development strategy, aligning department and business objectives
* Lead the creation of development programs, experiences, training calendars, and tools for all levels of leadership, including executives
* Oversee the development of an enriched executive onboarding program
* Create visibility to leadership course offerings, partnering with communications and training deployment teams to deploy training and programs
* Ensure all developed or acquired leadership training connects to the Kroger Leadership Model
* Consolidate succession plans and provide overall perspective on company leadership pipeline
* Track leadership development initiatives against annual resourcing plan; take corrective action if necessary
* Define KPI processes and targets for leadership development, and evaluate performance
* Review performance evaluations and support creation of individual development plans
* Be accountable for the development and oversight of the annual leadership development budget
* Assess and improve quality of leadership training
* Design training with a strong change management lens, applying change management principles
* Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
* Travel to divisions, plants and distribution centers for project planning, roll-out activities, and field visits

Minimum Position Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in human resources, education, organizational leadership, communication, business, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in Talent & Development
* Any experience in HR, leadership development, instructional design, training facilitation and leadership development
* Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment
* Ability to identify business problems and develop efficient and effective solutions
* Ability to respond to changing business priorities
* Excellent oral/written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to draw conclusions
* Strong understanding of industry/technical terms and processes

Desired Previous Experience/Education

* Master's Degree in human resources, organizational leadership, communication, business, or related field
* SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or ATD certification (or ability to obtain within one year)
* Any experience in executive coaching (leader of other executive coaches) and experience in retail
