This EH&S Technician position will be responsible for supporting a JLL client facility in Vacaville, CA to ensure the management of facility maintenance and safety processes. This individual will support JLL Management in safety, environmental and regulatory compliance. They will support project management, engineering support, procurement, and supplier management as required.
The position is responsible for supporting a safe and compliant workplace through adherence to applicable Federal and State Environmental, Health and Safety standards and regulations as well as compliance with internal company and client standards. Support client relationships with key representatives in supporting clients workplace goals and objectives.
Location requirements: Qualified individuals are required to work on-site five (5) days per week at our JLL client site in Vacaville, CA. This role will Mon-Fri, graveyard/morning shift (5:30am - 1:30pm PST).
Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities
* Maintain client satisfaction with delivery of Facility Management services and support programs to increase customer satisfaction
* Support compliance with JLL minimum audit and compliance standards in facility management, financial management and operational policies and procedures
* Meet or exceed site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) monthly to identify potential challenges and plan corrective actions accordingly
* Provide support with facilities activities including but not limited to:
* Safety support related to maintenance and repairs of plant equipment and buildings.
* Responsible for documentation of safety shower/eyewash station preventative maintenance for all buildings per state regulatory compliance standard
* Provide support for firewatch activities
* Support of all JLL vendors maintenance activities as required.
* Support chemical management for all JLL vendors regarding approval/disapproval of all chemicals entering facility, internal storage and usage and maintain all MSDSs and/or SDSs for the facility
Support training compliance on safety regulations and regulatory concerns relating to JLL maintenance activities. This includes:
-Lockout Tagout (LOTO)
-Machine Guarding
-Electrical Safety
-Confined Space
-Scaffolding
-Ladder Safety
-Safety Analysis
* Supports safety risk assessments, regulatory compliance reviews on equipment and process audits
* Support existing procedures to maintain compliance with corporate standard procedures.
* Support hazard identification per JLL AIMS submissions and support recommendations for corrective actions.
* Participate in internal and external audits stemming from JLL Good Catch/Near Miss Program.
* Support site to ensure inspections and testing of all fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and eye wash stations, safety showers and other safety equipment.
* Support Facilities Management to ensure compliance with regulating bodies to include: FDA, OSHA, EPA, Corporate, and Divisional procedures, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required
* Minimum 2 years of EHS experience.
* Demonstrated technical/professional knowledge and skills in EHS to include local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
* Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
* High level of written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
* High level of computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-mail, Excel).
* Knowledge of ISO, OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI and other federal and state regulations.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and regulatory agencies.
* Capability of handling a variety of tasks at the same time.
* Some level of GMP/GLP preferred.
* Knowledgeable in fire protection systems, emergency response programs, safety committee and audit programs.
