We are seeking a Perfusionist for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:

* You will set up and operate the extracorporeal circulation equipment/machine and auto transfusion machine during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or temporarily replace the patients circulatory or respiratory function.
* You will review patients medical history and chart, consult with the surgeon in an effort to set up the heart-lung machine and any other ancillary may be needed for patient support.
* You will provide consultation to the physician in the selection of appropriate equipment and technique to be used during extracorporeal circulation.
* You will administer blood products, anesthetic agents or drugs through the extracorporeal circuit on prescription and/or appropriate protocol.
* You will participate in the set up and monitoring of the auto transfusion and IABP support procedures.
* Throughout any open heart/related procedure, you will be responsible for monitoring also adjusting blood gas values, patient anticoagulation status, hypothermia induction, hemodilution and other duties when prescribed.

Qualifications

* Certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
* BLS health care provider, PALS & ACLS required.
* Experience required.
* Weekend Rotation
