Nurse (RN) Supervisor - PACU/Recovery

Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 631- bed Health Care System including Bay Area, Doctors Regional, The Heart Hospital, Northwest Regional, Bayview Behavioral Hospital, Northshore Emergency Center, Northwest Behavioral Health Center and Radiation Oncology at Corpus Christi Cancer Center.

What you will do this role:

* The Clinical Supervisor/RN assists the director/manager in planning, organization, directing, and coordinating the clinical and management activities of an assigned area responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice.

* Important aspects of this responsibility are the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care; acquisition of specialized knowledge skills and additional formal education to provide specialized care; demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice; clinical practice consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of this facility; and supervision of other staff as designated within the department.

Qualifications

Education:

* Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN required

What qualifications you will need:

* Current TX RN licensure
* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required
* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification required
* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support Course (PALS) and Certification Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
* 2 years experience in PACU/Recovery with 1 year Charge experience
