As a Phlebotomist, you will support the lab team in a variety of functions including routine blood draws and minor technical functions. You will provide clinical support as well as administrative support to all areas of the lab.

* You will obtain blood specimens.

* Label and initial test tubes immediately after procedure.

* You will dispose of all used needles in designated sharps containers.

* Demonstrate the ability to work independently without supervision and assist in training new phlebotomists.

Our Reflections Eating Disorders Treatment Center, a self-contained unit, is the first and only program in Northern Virginia to provide non-punitive interventions in therapeutically and medically appropriate inpatient and partial hospitalization (day) programs, as well as access to outpatient care in one comprehensive treatment center.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

* Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required to obtain during orientation

* ASCP/ASPT Phlebotomy certification preferred

* 1-3 years phlebotomy experience; Experience with specimen collection, venipuncture equipment, safety precautions

HOURS

* PRN
* Minimum of 2 shifts every four-week schedule period; may require weekends and holidays
