Overview
Responsible for the accounting and reconciliation of balance sheet, homebuilding reporting and tracking, revenue recognition and pre month-end reports.
Responsibilities
* Assist with month-end-close process, including revenue, inventory, margin, COS, WIP and journal entries
* Maintain sound accounting methods and systems in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
* general ledger/balance sheet research reconciliations
* Record cash receipts entries
* Maintain fixed asset subledger
* Prepare and submit required weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to Region and Corporate
* Review and record wire transfers
* Projects assigned by Corporate, Division President, Controller or Assistant Controller
* Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
* 2-4 years related accounting and financial experience with a publicly traded company preferred (homebuilding, construction, real estate industry knowledge preferred)
* Experience using a larger ERP/accounting system
* Intermediate computer skills experience required Microsoft Word and Excel (Vlookup and Pivot);
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task, coordinate meetings with Department Directors and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry office materials and supplies weighing twenty (25) pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
