Position Description

Primary purpose:

* Responsible for all preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs and change outs for the terminal.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Repair, install, adjust, or maintain systems in both the field and in the maintenance shop.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB SUMMARY:
Should be able to perform maintenance ranging from basic level service filter changes), to complex replacement of seals, valves, adjustment of safety valve settings.
Equipment expertise should include experience with pumps, motors, controls, and other related equipment.
In-shop and field repair services for, mechanical seals, and other related equipment.
Shaft alignments with dial indicator and/or electronic Laser alignment systems.
Predictive maintenance services such as greasing valve motors and related equipment.
Properly and accurately complete job, start-up & service to assigned work.
Effectively communicate with operations, maintenance, and management
Develop and maintain positive attitude with other departments.
Keep an organized, clean & resourceful work environment to include the office, shop, work area, warehouse, and service vehicle.
Understand and adhere to all safety related policies, rules, and guidelines.
Consistently provide courteous and professional representation of Company.

Position Requirements

Education:

* High school or equivalent

Experience / specific knowledge:

* Able to read ladder diagrams and mechanical drawings
* Good communication skills,
* Self motivated and assertive style
* A satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current valid state drivers license are mandatory
* Experience with installation, maintenance and repair equipment for terminal operations
* Knowledge of occupational hazards and required safety precautions, including those related to calibration and maintenance records, safety inspections and reports

* Well balanced interpersonal skills
* Ability to effectively interact professionally with management, co-workers, vendors, contractors and agency personnel
* Must be able to take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, adhere to operational procedures and follow work and safety rules
* Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications
* Must be self motivated and capable of making decisions while working with minimal supervision

Physical demands:

* Must be able to lift up to 50 to 60 lbs
* Ability to walk up and down stairs/ladders

Working conditions:

* Job entails call-outs on a 24 hour basis and an ability to work long hours, weekends, nights and holidays, when required

Perform physical labor in a variety of extreme climatic conditions including walking, bending, stooping, climbing tanks, digging, lifting and general manual labor

Exposure to smells and vapors associated with petroleum products

* Subject to background check and mandatory drug screen/on-going random testing
