The Senior Manager Program Governance is responsible for portfolio and project management for the companys enterprise strategic initiatives and will lead the design and execution of the US Foods Way for using the Agile principles and methodologies.
This position is critical in driving the successful implementation of the strategic enterprise initiatives for the Program Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio & Project Management
Design and own the Portfolio Management framework and process to effectively govern, prioritize and sequence the enterprise strategic initiatives
Design and lead the project life cycle methodology for enterprise strategic initiatives, including scoping, creating project charters, roadmaps and reporting templates
Develop standard tools and templates to capture milestones, status, budget and performance measurements to enable business partner accountability and decision making
Lead the deployment and adoption of enterprise portfolio and project management tools and technologies
Aggregate and report on portfolio prioritization and status to key stakeholders; provide insights and recommendations on projects for senior leaders to make decisions
Coordinates with FP&A and Change Management teams to ensure proper analysis and support are provided
Design the US Foods Way for project management and train/coach project managers across the company
Design and execute the US Foods Way for using Agile principles and methodologies
Define overall Agile strategy and direction of the company
Gain alignment with key stakeholders on the Agile strategy
Communicate and lead training/coaching on the Agile methodologies
Develop templates for scrum and kanban Agile methodologies, and train and coach project managers, project owners and leaders
Lead the deployment and adoption of tools and technologies to appropriately follow the Agile principles and provide high transparency to project teams and leaders
Lead project management of select enterprise initiatives using the Agile methodologies, as appropriate
Aggregate and report on Agile project milestones, status and results to key stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Develop and manage executive and organizational-level communications to promote ongoing alignment across stakeholder groups
Act as trusted partner and coach who can provide thought leadership to the enterprise initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
Bachelors degree required in Business, Marketing, Finance, Project Management, or related field.
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of relevant business or project management experience
Project Management and Agile certifications required: i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Scrum Master Certification
Exceptional communication skills and experience in working with Senior Leadership
Experience in a matrixed environment, as well as in managing cross-functional programs, teams and activities
Experience managing or working with agile teams
Proficient in Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Proficient with project management tools, MS-Project and/or other project management software and Microsoft Office applications
