Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will plan and advise activities of hourly employees to ensure that all established key performance goals for the department are realized in an efficient and timely manner! Can you maintain a safe working environment? Through inspection and observation you will ensure safety and housekeeping standards! You will train, counsel, and empower hourly employees and foster good employee relations through fair and equitable administration of the Labor Agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Inputs information daily into database systems and completes various batch tickets, production reports, safety reports, and general verbal and written communications regarding department and employee activities.
* Responsibility for the production area including management of labor and expense costs, inventory levels, batch quality, reproducibility, formulation optimization and asset utilization.
* Lead teams in problem solving, strategic project management, and/or driving for improvement in key plant metrics. S/he will conduct safety observations, identify and implement safety improvement projects.
* Successfully participate in developing an individual goal document and accomplishing its goals. Analyze and provide solutions to a wide range of production problems including asset management.

Qualifications:

* 5 or more years of production or engineering experience.
* Supervisor will have an impact in plant processes and have developed problem solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills, which enable reaching consensus during problem solving.
* Familiarity with Access or other data gathering and analysis tools is preferred.
* Previous experience working with Union labor relations is preferred.
