The Global Data Governance Analytics Lead is responsible for Master Data integrity and adherence to governance standards within Global Master Data Management (MDM). This role requires closely working with end-users, business units, and other resources in all stages of day-to-day MDM operations including investigation, resolution, and user testing, to ensure business services and requests are successfully identified, managed, and resolved/closed to customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on analytics and business process improvement. This is a hands-on position requiring strong MDM analytical skills, experience, and business expertise, highlighting the expertise of global MDM in all business interactions. You will responsible for developing and communicating a strategic corporate-wide vision through utilization of global master data, championing to the One PPG way. You will drive predictable and scalable analytics solutions through all business units globally using the various platforms containing the global data. This includes insuring data movement, data quality, work flows, and data governance controls evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and drive process and analytic improvements throughout all business units. Initiate and lead data projects as determined through the global MDM Strategy
* Influences the business units to change analytics to utilize new global data toolset and datasets to support One PPG
* Utilizes strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual skills, in-depth knowledge of the assigned data domain direction and BI practices to guide the BUs in creation of global analytics
* Applies knowledge of business administration, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and associated data-related technologies Goals when working with SBU leaders to educate and influence them to utilize global analytics incorporating global master data to improve strategic decisions
* Provide project management support for Data Governance and MDM initiatives and projects
* Frame and investigate theories and assumptions with high-impact potential and utilize descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics techniques
* Ability to influence across all BUs globally, at all levels, is critical to the success of this role
* Propose, explain business value, and lead BU associates in creation of various analytic tools to utilize the global master data to improve margins, profits and volumes, which align with the company directional statement and business model
* Develop business relationships with cross-functional teams and assist with BI project scoping and requirements gathering, understanding complex business questions and needs
* Demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, productivity, and professionalism
Qualifications
* A Bachelors degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Masters degree a plus
* Minimum 8 years of professional experience required. Minimum 3 working as a data analytics professional with experience in Data Governance and Data Management leading practices, process design and implementation preferred
* Strong understanding of how Data Governance affects an organization with previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change
* Demonstrated business and IT skills including change management/strategy, business process design, culture change, and performance measurement system design
* Experienced in project management, leadership, and execution of multiple enterprise-wide projects with a proven track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills; experience with; Power BI, SQL, ETL/ELT, data analytics tools, and other tools
