As a Tool Install Mechanical Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' manufacturing. You and the other members of your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools. Responsibilities include design oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals for large tools in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. Design will also occasionally include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation. You will work directly with client equipment owners, researchers, and equipment manufactures of next generation and prototype tools to build utility requirement documents to allow the development of installation design packages. You will be the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline team, and interface closely with the Jacobs mechanical tool design team. You may also provide technical training, quality check designs and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process. You may have PE stamping responsibility and be in responsible charge of the designs. You will interact directly with client and contractors to assist construction on site. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 7 years of practical application of mechanical engineering, including HVAC, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical building systems
Professional Engineer (PE)
At least 2 years of experience working with complex manufacturing tools

Ideally, you'll also have:

Proficient working knowledge of Revit software
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Passion for buildings and construction
Prior experience working with semiconductor tools either their manufacture, installation or use in cleanrooms
