Enterprise Services (ES) Material Accounting is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Accountant knowledgeable in Material Management amp; Accounting Systems (MMAS) compliance activities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Utilize SAP/Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting to perform material costing functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, corporate policies and procedures, disclosure statements and government regulations, including MMAS and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
* Perform analysis and interact with various sectors, divisions and technical staff to solve material cost issues using SAP/BI/Grouping, Pegging amp; Distribution (GPD) Product Actual amp; Cost Estimating (PACE) system/reports
* Perform functions such as but not limited to Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system data maintenance, cost and inventory accuracy analysis, price variance analysis, allocations, excess research and clearing
* Support lead cost accountant in management of the 1ERP system by providing analysis and testing
* Support audit requests
* Prepare documentation and post journal entries for various material accounting transactions
* Assist customers with material cost and pegging questions by utilizing SAP to do analysis and research
* Publish monthly Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) reports for sectors
* Drive continued improvements by updating work instructions and cross training
* Support Blackline account reconciliations
* Support non-recurring initiatives as required
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor 39;s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and 3 years related experience; or 1 year related experience with a Masters degree
* Understanding of financial statements
* Knowledge of MMAS process controls, business functions, and material management and cost transaction systems
* Experience with SharePoint, BI, SAP, Excel and Word
* Strong knowledge of material costing systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of compliance audit standards for MMAS
* S1/T1 clearances
* Strong ambition with the intent to work quickly and effectively, can get up to speed with business processes quickly and enjoys a dynamic environment
* Experience in various business process and system capabilities in manufacturing and project management (i.e., cost accounting/MRP/Inventory/Production)
