This position is remote.

Summary

As a Category & Insights Consultant, you will serve as an advisor to our customer and a consultant to the sales team, driving development and implementation of category initiatives to meet and exceed financial objectives. The Category & Insights Consultant will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights to fuel category growth. Key role is synthesizing business trends, competitive trends, shopper insights, financial insights, etc., to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive category growth across the store. The Category & Insights Consultant will influence the development and implementation of category lead initiatives for the seasonal business. Additionally, the role will support reporting functions for the team across the entire business.

Responsibilities
Provide management with objective, comprehensive, consumer-based insights and actionable recommendations based upon that information for the category

Support to identify and solve for key business issues through regular and ad hoc business analysis, including category reviews and line reviews.

Act as the indispensable consultative partner, driving projects to achieve financial objectives. Isolate potential growth opportunities for the category.

Develop and participate in cross- functional projects/teams to activate growth driving executions. Leverage business analysis and insights to create solutions that drive growth. Effectively utilize the companys insights and proprietary tools to drive profitable sales results.

Effectively penetrate horizontally and vertically to align key stakeholders on category lead initiatives.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience: This position requires previous CPG Sales experience (approximately 3-5 years), advanced analytical skills, basic understanding of consumershopper behavior and market research strategies, and the ability to learn about consumer sales industry trends and working knowledge of the category management process.
