Head of Category Demand Planning is an oversight role. Primary role and mission are to:
* Develop global Category Demand Plan to support a global, long range scenario planning
* Supports the Global category lead to drive strategic operational decisions to support the business
* Supports the financial budget process
Inform Brands and Commercial Category team with realistic category growth targets and opportunities for newness
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop the Category Demand Plan view
* Leverage current and new planning tools and processes to improve and measure the quality of the Category Plan (plan level, plan mix, gap management processes, channel mix, Category performance metrics)
* Evaluate and validate long range industry trends, retail growth rates and demand drivers to serve as inputs in the Plan and to inform Brands and Corporate Strategy
* Work with the Global Category Lead to enable a long-range scenario planning and support the strategic decisions to deliver the ambitions (manufacturing, distribution, equipment, labor )
* Work with Finance to support the budget process (volumes, manufacturing/distribution implications, cost per unit, margin implications)
* Work with Brands, War Room and Commercial teams and participate in Innovation Stage Gate to align on innovation sufficiency (adequacy or lack) and timely implementation for the fastest growing subcategories
* Work with the Global Business Planning and the Regional Demand Planning leads to drive continuous improvement on Demand Planning metrics (accuracy, completeness, attainment, stability, bias); deeper focus on Innovation and High Traffic Shopping Moments (HTSM)
* Provide inputs to the lifecycle management process, from the launch to the line edit phase
* Build and sustain a collaborative environment in a cross functional and cross branded ELC environment
* Spends approximately 10% of time on developing and materializing company's business strategy
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field
* Minimum 12 years of related experience in Planning, preferably in a Demand Planning role with at least 5 years of managerial experience
* Knowledge of, and experience with forecasting, demand planning, innovation planning and S&OP/IBP
* Experience with supervising and managing teams of 4 or more
* Strong business acumen, preferably from experience in the fashion or beauty industries
* Demonstrated managerial skills and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders
* Preferred knowledge of beauty industry
* Strong analytical and modeling skills with hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools a plus
Capabilities:
* Strong managerial and organizational skills, with ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously
* Ability to work within and across multiple functional teams, collaborating with Planning, Corporate Strategy, Finance, Brand and Commercial stakeholders
* Ability to strategically identify and validate long term industry / global / regional trends and demand drivers
* Executive presence and comfortable presenting and working with SVP, EVP and C-level stakeholders
* Strong written and oral communication skills

Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field
* Direct experience: Minimum 12 years of related experience in Planning, preferably in a Demand Planning role with at least 5 years of managerial experience
* Knowledge of, and experience with forecasting, demand planning, innovation planning and S&OP/IBP
* Deep knowledge of beauty
* Excellent team player and communication skills
* Strong analytical and modeling skills with hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools
* English - Written and Verbal
* CPSM, APICS, IBF or similar
* 20% Travel
