Introduction:

Position Summary:

Fulfills customer orders though quick and accurate selection of product. Ensures that the right quantity and quality of product is properly picked. Performs work under the direction of distribution supervisor or manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Reads pick tickets in order to quickly and accurately fill customer orders

* Picks the items listed on ticket and places into carton. Verifies location, unit of measure and product against pick ticket/label

* Reviews order for exceptions and handles appropriately to avoid re-work

* Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties

Qualifications

Qualifications

Basic:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred:

* Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker preferred.

* Minimum of three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education and experience

* Ability to become certified in the operation of all warehouse equipment

* Ability to lift, lower and/or carry product up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand. Regularly operates warehouse equipment that requires manual dexterity requiring some coordinated movements

* Ability to use computer or hand-held scanner to enter information

* Ability to make independent decisions within well-defined guidelines

* Demonstrated ability to be a team player

* Demonstrated ability to be reliable and dependable to complete work assignments

* Basic math skills

* Ability to learn how to operate warehouse equipment (i.e. forklift, cherry picker, pallet jack, etc.)

* Basic data entry skills

* Strong attention to detail
