The Storyful Insight & Intelligence team combines the skills of data analysts, researchers, journalists, and communications professionals. The role - 6 month Internship within our Intelligence Team:
As a part of the Intelligence team, you will analyze the social web to understand key conversations, patterns of influence and other aspects of the digital information ecosystem, as well as produce actionable intelligence for senior leadership at companies across CPG, healthcare, financial services, technology and media.
This Insight & Intelligence Intern would work to complete written reports and presentations as a part of an analysis team, perform research based on client requests or in collaboration with internal teams, and otherwise contribute to the life and growth of the I&I team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the potential of social intelligence and innovative approaches to data analysis. This internship demands a flexible attitude, attention to detail, strong time management skills, aptitude and interest in new technology and tools and comfort with a rapidly changing media landscape.
Experience Required:
* Experience within a corporate communications, media agency, journalism, data science, consultancy or other relevant environment.
* An excellent command of English is a prerequisite and strong writing are preferred.
* Experience in research and analytics is preferred.
* Strong understanding and interest in social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, and others.
* Familiarity with analysis tools such as Tableau, Excel, SPSS, or languages such as SQL, Python and R, social listening and media tools such as Brandwatch, and/or OSINT methods
* BA in journalism, marketing, communications, psychology, statistics or other applicable areas.
Responsibilities include:
* Mining the social web to find key conversations, influencers and discover compelling content, as well as how to filter and present that work in an cohesive way to brands
* Working to complete intelligence reports as a part of an analysis team
* Conducting research based on requests from clients or internal sales and business-development teams and deliver briefs on discoveries in a timely, clear manner
* Adhering to best practice processesincluding rigorous maintenance of Storyfuls high standards in terms of copy, presentation, reporting and client relations
* Working with the Intelligence team to deliver high quality reports against client brief
* Drawing on both quantitative and qualitative approaches to shape your reasoning
* Working closely with product teams to refine and guide our proprietary tools
