In this role, you will:
- Assist in the development of code using various programming and scripting languages to automate data ingestion and improve data management processes.
- Analyze database and data sets to ensure proper handling.
- Coordinate and resolve data quality issues.
- Perform data quality assessments.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
This position is contingent upon program award expected Summer 2021.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field, or a minimum of 5 years experience performing data engineering functions in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g Python, PERL, Java, C/C++/C, etc.)
- Experience with relational, non-relational, noSQL and/or file based storage (e.g. MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, Hbase, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Splunk, etc.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional certification or equivalent.
- Up to date knowledge of COTS, GOTS and open source data engineering technologies and demonstrated experience implementing data engineering process improvements.
- Experience with various data formats.
- Experience with Apache NiFi.
