Position: Plant Production Helper:
The International Paper Dallas Container facility is currently seeking qualified applicants for Plant Production General Labor positions. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to learn how to safely and efficiently operate production equipment while performing general production tasks, ability to read a tape measure, and interpret a variety of instructions given in written, verbal, or electronic forms. Candidate must be capable of proficiently utilizing test equipment, performing basic math calculations, inspecting product shipments for accuracy, and verifying the absence of manufacturing defects.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production/manufacturing environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. Plant manufacturing experience preferred (hands on operation of industrial machinery/equipment). Corrugated industry experience preferred. Must be willing to work off shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Mechanical aptitude a plus. Successful candidates will be required to learn the duties of assistant and/or machine operator and be prepared to promote to the next position level when a vacancy becomes available. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
