The Sr Manager of SC Process Optimization will play a key role in streamlining DC Operations processes, systems, and technologies to meet AAPs internal customer needs. The position is responsible for leading and facilitating efforts to continually improve/standardize SC activities and identify/implement best practices. The role will also focus in driving Lean culture by providing various tools throughout DC network which is in line with Supply Chains strategic plans.
This leader will have a results-oriented leadership style with strong influencing skills and the ability to make an immediate and sustainable organizational impact. Leads cross functional, company-wide, and Supply Chain specific process improvement initiatives. Must have practical Distribution Operation Experience/Knowledge and intimate awareness of change management needs of DC network. Such individual must be both a credible leader to diverse levels of people (from DC floor to Executive leadership) and capable of developing and executing strategies that yield measurable business results.
Roles & Responsibility
As an effective Process Optimization Manager:
* Leads below process improvement/standardization program across DC network using practical Distribution Operation Experience/Knowledge:
* DC Network Control Tower: Greenfield system developed to implement/change/complete Supply Chain and Enterprise wide activities across DC Operation without creating DC execution capacity challenges.
* Process Change Review Board: As Cross-Functional SC team; Assess, Align & Execute changes related to current process/system/standard across DC Operation.
* Best Practice: Partner/Collaborate with DC Ops Leaders to improve critical SC KPIs through identification/implementation of current best practices across DC Ops network.
* Integrate leadership skills with Lean principals and expertise to guide and train TMs at all levels of the organization in Lean Methodology.
* Equips the organization with operational excellence tools and practices by applying Lean and Six Sigma methodology on a regular basis through the learning by doing process, facilitating knowledge transfer to create the capability within the business units to ultimately drive process improvement independently.
* Leads high impact process improvement projects by partnering with SC Ops senior leaders to identify and act on opportunities to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste through application of Lean and Six Sigma tools.
* Deliver on time various level of sustainable processes and/or implementations that reduces TIMWOOD across DC network
* Build strategic alignment on transformational changes within DC network by being able to provide operational business case that links with SC strategies
* Work effectively with cross-functional SC organizations to ensure operational alignment, resources need and provide input regarding TMs performance.
* Utilize Problem solving, Analytical & E2E operational Skills to provide quick and effective solution for immediate DC network needs while continuing to develop long term solution

* Self-starter, proven ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment to deliver on time high quality results
* Ability to interpret DC requirements from outside operations and create communications that DC teams can understand and implement.
* Be creative and flexible to be able to pivot direction based upon changing DC/SC needs
* Ability to establish/maintain effective relationships through strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the executive management level.
* Demonstrate high-level of knowledge related to DC technology and be able to develop improvement initiatives leveraging available and new technology (WMS, TMS, mobility solutions, robotics, hands free, auto-data capture, etc.)
* Strong understanding of DC network related processes, standards, and impact of cross-functional SC org. work on day to day DC operation
* Being able to create scalable systems that track data, implement score-carding and drive performance/ productivity improvement.
* Effective within project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle to meet expected deadlines and outcomes
Job Qualifications
* Proven ability to lead teams with or without direct reports; natural leader and motivator, lead through influence
* Bachelors degree in Engineering, SC Management, or relevant field (Master Degree Preferred)
* 5-10 years of combined work experience within various business function (must include practical distribution operations experience and preferably some Engineering & CI/Lean Six Sigma) with successive leadership roles
* Strong coaching experience combined with extensive experience in SC level project or program
* Demonstrable history of success leading an organization through a significant transformation initiative.
* Proved track record in driving DC process improvements through tools/techniques and LEAN implementation
* Understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
* Demonstrable competency in strategic planning
* Ability to Travel 50%-75% (Considering Post-COVID world and need of this role to travel across DC Network)
