As the Regional Finance Director, you will serve as the primary contact for Regional financial operating performance while developing solutions and strategies in complicated or unique situations. What youll do on a typical day:

* Serve as primary financial and analytical contact for Region-level operations
* Provide financial support and guidance to achieve service center, district and regional financial and operational objectives
* Work closely with Regional management team and site operations to identify, measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) with stack ranking of top and bottom performing locations
* Conduct variance analysis on revenue, labor, maintenance, fuel and discretionary spend accounts to identify and mitigate known gaps
* Develop quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for service centers, districts, and region of responsibility
* Collaborate with multiple business functions such as Operations, Sales and Pricing to identify and support revenue growth and cost savings opportunities
* Evaluate financial issues and provide necessary solutions / recommendations; conduct and interpret complex analyses to evaluate alignment with the business strategy

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, youll need:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent related work experience
* 7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, accounting, and/or budgeting
* Ability to travel up to 75%
* Ability to monitor budgets and identify problem areas; conduct research into causes and corrective actions, and make appropriate recommendations
* Ability to develop and prepare capital and operating budgets
* Thorough knowledge of financial monitoring and control, general ledger and accounts payable processes and procedures
* Experience evaluating systems of internal control
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Access); advanced Excel skills with the ability to create complex formulas; ability to perform database collection and use software programs to gather data for modeling and make meaningful use of the data

Itd be great if you also have:

* Masters degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration
* CPA, CMA, CFA or applicable professional designation
* Background in logistics, transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution
