Here at Lacework, we are looking for a Principal Software Engineer - SaaS Backend who is excited about building an industry leading, next generation Cloud Security System. You will be part of the team that architects, designs, and implements highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees. The Role:

Build state of the art threat detection systems
Work with PMs, customers, and sales to design and develop new security products/features
Write scalable, maintainable, and testable code
Architect, design, and implement highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees.
Actively engage with other teams across the company to identify security scenarios where machine learning/applied statistics can be used and guide the development of solutions to these problems.
Write functional specs, design specs and participate in code reviews
Develop infrastructure as required to monitor and scale

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in software development.
Proven experience as software architect.
Ms/Phd in computer science or similar
Strong experience in Java application development. Experience with multi-threading a plus.
Experience developing RESTful web services and using frameworks like dropwizard, spring, spring boot.
Must have experience with Metadata driven design and development.
Must have demonstrated ability to design for scalability, performance and reliability.
Must have knowledge of relational database engines like MySQL, Postgres, SQLServer, Oracle etc. Experience with Snowflake is a plus
Working knowledge/experience with AWS-stack
Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects 
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
