Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. The Spread Products eTrading & Technology Infrastructure Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join as a Product Owner. As a Product Owner you will work closely with the business to gain a solid understanding of the problem being solved, be able to translate that vision into features that technology can deliver, act as a champion for change while inspiring others, and have a thorough grasp of technical architecture and implementation.
You will be responsible for working closely with the business and the COO's to prioritize work, owning the product backlog, creating the definition of done, and reviewing intermittent deliverables in order to drive ultimate execution. As a member of the Team you will also be responsible for assessing market trends and will have direct input into strategy creation; in order to ensure our portfolio of applications are in alignment with business goals. As a Product Owner you will maintain a high level of involvement through the design, build, testing and deployment phases of an application's life cycle while constantly balancing the total cost of ownership against long term business goals.
The candidate will partner with Sales & Trading, other technical and quantitative teams, and governance partners in order to drive the Spread Products business forward. He or she will have the ability to make a meaningful difference by understanding the evolving market structures in Asset Backed Finance (ABF), Credit and Municipal Products. Moreover, the candidate is directly accountable for ensuring adherence to compliance, governance, regulatory and policy requirements.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in capital markets, industry experience within the specific sector of the position, or a combination of both

Other Desired Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in a Sales & Trading, Capital Markets Technology supporting Spread Products or a related role focused on Spread Products.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to independently own a portfolio of products during all stages of the application life cycle.
* The ability to think strategically, lead others to inspire change, and build consensus amongst a broad range of stakeholders; including but not limited to developers, business management, risk managers, quants, control, compliance and Sales & Trading.
* Be able to bridge the technical and business worlds, in order to ensure that our goals are accomplished in the most efficient manner.
* Experience owning the roadmap of a project or business in the past, particularly in the area of managing a large technical book of work where multitasking is required in the context of the SDLC process.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability articulate views to all levels within the organization.
* Experience working directly with Sales & Trading personnel in a time sensitive environment.
* Familiarity with or willingness to learn and embrace the Agile format.
* High level of familiarity with technical and design concepts around data-centric and eTrading applications.
* Ability to express ideas in a well-articulated and visually impactful manner for presentations.
* Knowledge of Python and it's various data wrangling and visualization packages.
