The Bill Pay Development Team within Consumer and Small Business Banking Technology (CSBBT) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Engineering Manager position. The role will require managing distributed team projects in an Agile delivery environment. The person should be influential in collaboration and assessment of project direction, roadmap and strategy. Proven track record in application development and architecture and strategic thinking. The person should be fluent on scoping technology initiatives and manage the deliverable based on the strategic roadmap and incremental delivery of programs on time in a fast moving/changing environment. Review of total cost of ownership and look for efficiencies to reduce cost while managing risk mitigation strategies. In addition will need to leverage and work closely with the design authority and architecture to help on building strategic solutions and continue to mentor/grow with talent development and continue to build a stronger collaborative team.
The resource will manage and drive the process of continuous growth of team and focusing on the Bill Pay Services design, development, support, modernization and rationalization.
The Bill Pay Services application is considered a Crown Jewel and we need a manager that is very focus, driven to success, technical with a knowledge of the technology stack and can lead the team technically. We also need the person to have a sense of urgency for all the work associated with the application and can drive solutions to project work, stability, modernization, risk and control to ensure that we improve functionality which is crucial to the customer experience and how Wells Fargo does business.
Bill Pay Services is a middleware services application providing complex, high performance, financial transaction web services that processes tens of millions of requests daily. In this role, you will be developing services for major clients within the bank. Bill Pay Services is a J2EE application running on Linux/Java/SPRING/PL/SQL technology stack.

Your duties as Engineering Manager in Bill Pay Development team include (but not limited to) participation in development, mentoring developers, leading resolution of most complex pre-production and production issues, keep SME level in Bill Pay platform, work with all partners from multiple systems, using Bill Pay Services, participate and lead resolution of production issues, including nightly and week-end time, mentor and provide technical leadership for resources in India in Indian timezone. Additionally you need to be and constantly keep expert level in all major technologies used in Bill Pay development - Java, Oracle, UNIX.

* 5+ years of Linux experience
* 5+ years of Autosys experience
