Payments, Treasury Management and Customer Care Technology (PTCT) is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Software Sr Engineer position. This role will report to the Engineering Sr Manager and primarily be accountable for providing technical expertise/guidance as well as some hands-on assistance with all of the applications within the Payments and Resiliency division. This resource will be expected to work closely with the Engineering Sr Manager to bring innovative yet practical ideas to the organization and to modernize and simplify where possible. The Software Sr Engineer will communicate ideas to all levels for support, adoption, and implementation. They will apply core engineering and automation development principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications across the team.
In addition, the Software Sr Engineer will multi-task in a fast-paced team oriented environment while assisting with the planning, coordination, design, and development of the software to be used in the new Payments Command Center, as well as assist with adding new Controls and Resiliency for Payments applications. This Engineer will also assist with strategic planning for the internal ACH applications that will need to be rewritten to correct vulnerabilities.

Duties will include:

* Lead cross-functional project teams, managing all project life-cycle activities associated with high visibility projects that are long-term, across one or more lines of business and carry a substantial impact to the relevant businesses.
* Responsibilities of this position include creation, preparation, and implementation of Payment monitoring systems, assisting with best approach to be used for implementing new controls into payment applications, identifying opportunities to add additional resiliency into payment applications, working closely with application team to add resiliency in the most efficient manner, and working with the iNet team to modernize applications.
* The successful candidate will use independent judgment to perform complex analysis of business requirements and technical system specifications for the purposes of test planning and test scripting as well as Identifying, analyzing and managing risks, issues and interdependencies
* Key objectives of this position will be to ensure successful project execution and delivery within timelines for both waterfall and agile projects in the Payments and Resiliency division. Success will depend on timely delivery, strategic solutions, and offering sophisticated tools for monitoring payments, adding resiliency, adding controls to various payment types, and remediating internal application vulnerabilities while modernizing code.
* Provide leadership, technical direction and coaching to staff within the teams in the division while identifying and mitigating risk.

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: 2700 S Price, Chandler, AZ; 1525 W. W.T. Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of software engineering experience
* 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
* 5+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
* 5+ years of process definition and documentation experience
* 3+ years of microservices development experience
* 3+ years of experience in front end application development, operations and automation using React, Redux, AngularJS and Node

Desired Qualifications
* An industry-standard technology certification
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
* 3+ years of Kubernetes experience
* 3+ years of Cloud Foundry experience
* 5+ years of wholesale banking experience

Other Desired Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in distributed data streaming/messaging platforms (Kafka, IBM MQ)
* 3+ years of AI/ML experience in programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.,) and data engineering/analysis.
* Experience with graph analysis packages such as Python, Neo4j or Titan
* 5+ years of data aggregation/analytics/visualization experience (Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk)
* 5+ years of rich internet app (RIA) architecture experience
* Prior exposure to Wells Fargo Payments Applications
