Job Summary:

The DMED Communications Operations team is seeking a Manager, Technical Operations who will work collaboratively with the team to meet internal communications goals. Working closely with Communications Operations and the Events team, the Manager will be responsible for executing all technical aspects of projects, particularly those focused on secure live video streaming, A/V production, and global email distribution list strategy & operation.

The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of A/V production, secure live video streaming, email systems, and basic HTML/CSS to enable other members of the communications team to engage in a broad range of virtual events and communications activities. Proven track record of working directly with senior executives and collaborating with members at many levels of a large organization is desired.

This position is based in Burbank and will report to the Director of Communications Operations while also supporting the work of the Communications team. Must be available to work some nights, some weekends and able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Manage all technology & vendors for A/V needs, particularly for mission-critical live streaming and/or event productions, both physical and virtual. Registration systems, tracking, & metrics included.
* Distribution list management and maintenance for a large, international organization, as well as distribution of all internal email communication, including metrics and reporting.
* Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding to perform front end and back end improvements & customization of our video technology, fix code in emails, event registration forms, intranet video player embedding, etc.

* Support the Events team with additional A/V needs

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum 3-5 years experience in technology, communications, events production or related fields
* BA or BS required, preferably with a background in technology or event production fields
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects from start to finish and ongoing operation, especially related to virtual events
* Ample knowledge of video streaming platforms, hardware, and software, including but not limited to: Zoom, vMix, OBS, video encoding hardware, audio/video mixing hardware, closed captioning, basic video editing/trimming, & video transcoding
* Ample knowledge of email systems & distribution lists, particularly in the Office 365 ecosystem
* Ample knowledge of event registration systems
* Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Keynote; enough to make changes quickly and effectively on moment's notice
* Ability to identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and design and implement processes to address them
* Highly collaborative, ideally with experience in a large matrixed organizational structure
* Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels, including executives
* Organized, detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
* Flexible, responsive and a multi-tasking team player who is willing to pitch in to help the team meet critical deadlines
* Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, prioritize deadlines and effectively work through challenges in a fast-paced environment
* Positive attitude, personable and approachable, self-motivated
* Self-starter with ability to work independently but confident enough to ask for guidance and input when needed
* Ability to manage confidential information and follow content security protocols
