The Sr. Manager, Sales Force Development is responsible for implementing the global training and development program for commercial teams within the BioProduction Division (BPD). This individual assesses and builds sales enablement tools, deploying a global sales development roadmap, and harmonizes a training program that aligns with the long term growth strategy of BPD.
This role reports to the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations and works collaboratively with various divisions, business units and functional leaders.
Responsibilities:
* Implement a comprehensive strategy in the areas of:
* Sales Onboarding: optimize a process that accelerates time to competency and productivity for a variety of sales roles.
* Sales Training Content: set a sales training architecture that can be implemented across divisions and regions, and enables sales development and technical understanding
* Sales Training Administration: assess and deploy training content tools, ensuring easy access to content and implementing effective solutions that drive continuous learning for sales reps
* Sales Force Comprehension and Effectiveness: enable tools that measure training comprehension, and create solutions that measure effectiveness of sales development
* Career Framework and Development Journey: create and deploy a sales career framework and development roadmap that provides direction on sales responsibilities and behaviors needed to progress career development
* Continuously evaluates sales development needs against the BPD Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy.
* Aligns with business unit VP/ GMs and regional sales leaders to meet training needs and share best practices across regional training teams.
* Maintains oversight of outside services and vendor relationships, ensuring appropriate alignment and return on investment.
* Effectively partner with multiple constituencies across the Life Sciences Group (LSG) to leverage resources and deliver a complete and aligned training strategy.
Education:
* Bachelor2019s degree, preferably in learning development field. Master2019s or higher degree preferred.
Experience:
* A minimum 10 years of management in Learning & Development, Sales, or Sales Operations
* Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a large and complex organization in a biotech industry preferred
* Instructional design experience including content development, delivery and program evaluations; preferably in sales
* Proven track record of delivering learning programs to improve performance
* Success in leading teams to successfully accomplish complex tasks.
* Advanced communication, analytical skills and reasoning.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint required.
* Excellent presentation and communications skills; ability to assimilate complex concepts and clearly articulate business value.
