PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for operating a manual packaging line to ensure 1st quality laminate flooring products while meeting or exceeding safety, quality, production and customer satisfaction goals.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

1. Complies with all Company safety rules and procedures.
2. Performs duties using proper housekeeping and safe work practices.
3. Using repetitive hand motions, builds boxes around laminate flooring planks at the assigned speed in an orderly fashion.
4. Performs 100% audit for each piece to verify correct SKU.
5. Utilizes proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects.
6. Maintains attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards.
7. Replenishes and stages line (boxes, pieces, tape and hexacomb).
8. Utilizes computer to complete orders and create labels in Shop Floor.
9. Operates forklift to replenish product.
10. Shrink wraps and palletizes finished packaged product.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 1-year previous packaging experience.
* Previous experience in a manual manufacturing production environment is highly preferred.

COMPENTENCIES:
* Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
* Ability to perform basic math skills (counting, addition and subtraction).
* Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
* Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED
