GENERAL SUMMARY:
Coordinating and expediting the movement of materials within production. Coordinate all aspects of Production inventory maintenance and engineering change implementation for Production areas.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain integrity of inventory quantities and locations both physically and on the business system
* Ensure proper material storage, labeling, and rotation
* Proactively improves material storage and line presentation processes
* Ensure proper use of ESD storage containers
* Actively participate in 6S programs
* Establish systems and reorder parts on the Min / Max system when levels reach reorder point
* Coordinate and execute Cycle Counts
* Coordinate cycle count corrective actions with Inventory Analyst
* Use the MRP business system to identify potential material shortages and implement corrective action to resolve shortage prior to production impact
* Expedite material from IQA, offsite storage, and other areas to prevent line shut down
* Coordinate the release and implementation of Engineering changes including inventory and work order impact analysis with Production
* Change Work Order BOMs for Qualification tests and Engineering (non-standard) Work Orders
* Work closely with line Material Handler(s) to ensure good communication and coordination of activities
* Implement document changes within MRP and PLM system
* Coordinate rework, return to inventory, and scrap activities
* Perform other related duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 2 years experience in a related materials control position in a manufacturing environment
DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associate degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, or related field is preferred
* Familiarity with computerized manufacturing systems related to material control practices, configuration, Engineering change systems, and production process flows
* Familiar with concepts of material requirement planning systems and product structures
* Intermediate computer skills with database and spreadsheets
* Demonstrated attention to detail
* Demonstrated success in teamwork and cross-functional process development
* Good communication skills
