In Global Sales Marketing and Operations (GSMO) Finance, we are driving shareholder value in 60 subsidiaries and carry the local accountability for the financials as well as statutory and compliance matters across all Microsoft commercial segments and products. GSMO HQ Finance team is a group of finance professionals who analyze the Microsoft business models across countries, channels, and product groups on a daily basis. Our responsibilities range from financial analysis, transformational analysis, pricing & licensing analysis, investment analysis, and competitive analysis to forecasting, planning, and whitespace identification. We help business partners make strategic decisions through educating, driving and implementing financial thinking around revenue today and business models for the future. We drive thought leadership on how to measure success for Microsoft in the Software, Services and Hardware ecosystems.

Prioritize
* Directs, performs, and reviews analysis and research of present and future financial performance, financial plans (e.g., expected returns, resource allocation, pricing, investment opportunities) and economic transactions (e.g., customer deals, commercial partnerships, acquisitions, ). Gathers, prepares, and summarizes recommendations.

* Directs and coaches teams as they leverage relationships with customers and partners; oversees complex negotiations with customers; ensures that organization and teams remain customer-centric; strives to develop strong relationships with customers; develops capabilities of teams to engage with customers on their wider relationships with Microsoft.

* Provides business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue and profitability goals (e.g., resource allocation, cost optimization, revenue generation) and drive shareholder return. Collaborates with business leaders to define
action plans for financial and business analysis findings. Ensures the business partner perspective is understood and prioritized by less experienced employees.
Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context), as well as external factors, to multiple situations to evaluate results and Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drive improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Coaches others to understand the business and drivers of key metrics.
* Contributes to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial Provides advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
* Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
* OR equivalent
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Problem-solving attitude.
* Experience in influencing decisions and presenting to an executive audience.
* Business controlling experience with focus on revenue analytics, insight, KPI's development, and opportunity analysis a plus
* Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
