This candidate will support the Manufacturing & Product Engineering Organization-MPE as a member of the US Debug Lab in Hillsboro, OR working on product readiness and debug activities for Next Generation Microprocessors. Applicants will be engaged on using ATE and FI,FA tools such as LTM-Laser Voltage Probing, LADA-Laser Assisted device alteration, IREM- infrared emission microscopy, Pico Probe and ATE tester to perform debug and characterization activities to root cause issues for leading edge processes, designs and systems. The candidate will work closely in the lab with debug engineer, circuit design and LYA members to execute testing and obtain data on-die, leading to theories and final closure for various sightings. The candidate will use knowledge gained from actual hands on silicon debug activities, then work through peers, academia and vendors to close future gaps in the debug tools, including research and development for new tools and technologies upgrades to the existing toolset. The candidate will work to standardize methods in an dynamic environment and use concepts such as LEAN, 5S events to organize and streamline work.

Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field with 3+ years of experience OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field with 1+ years of experience with:
VLSI circuit design or device physics or process engineering
Good working knowledge of Computer systems (i.e. Windows, python, LINUX and UNIX)

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong hands-on lab experience
Computer programming experience and at least basic Python and Unix skills
Design of experiment (DOE)
Basic knowledge of CAD tools: Cadence Allegro or Mentor Expedition, or equivalent
Willingness to work independently and tackle task under minimum supervision
Statistical/data analysis (MATLAB, Excel, JMP, etc.)
