Job Description

The Whole Life Engineering (WLE) organization within Raytheon Technologies Engineering is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer who is expected to provide technical support for the post production activities associated with the fielding, repairs, and upgrades of the F-15 AESA Radars. This individual will support the F-15 Sustainment Team with data review/analysis, procedure development, failure analysis, hands-on-testing and troubleshooting, repairs, and system design requirements. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines as well as leading engineering and repair tasks on their own. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential as is familiarity and experience in applying Systems Engineering Best Practices. General knowledge of Performance Based Logistics, Contractor Logistics Support practices and policies, repair techniques, and supply chain management. Perform investigations, analyze data, and consider other technical tasks necessary to evaluate evolving design efforts and assist in recommending design alternatives in order to meet or improve RMSS requirements. Ability to produce and manage contract data item delivery items and documents that provide the analysis results, financial reports, specifications, and other supporting data required by the program. Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet customer and company objectives.

The Senior Principal System Engineer is responsible for the following:

* Provide System Engineering leadership on F-15 Sustainment Programs (Forest, MS, Warner Robins, GA, and El Segundo, CA).
* Direct and coordinate interface with other IPTs, process oversight, task coordination within each of the areas of engineering, interaction and coordination of engineering activities with Sustainment Management and Production Management, interaction with functional management for issues related to staffing and performance, and cost and schedule performance tracking
* Meet contractual performance based metrics
* Risk mitigation and opportunity capture activities for the engineering tasks
* Support technical issues on depot repairs
* Collect and prepare of engineering performance data on the program and reporting this performance to the engineering and program management
* Coordinate of engineering resources supporting the program ensuring timely, value-added components is provided
* Prepare and present engineering data and repair status at PPRs, QPMRs and technical meetings as required
* Review field metrics and monitor Field performance issues Interface with Navy and Boeing Customers on technical/programmatic issues that affect the fleet.
* Collection and preparation of engineering performance data on the program and reporting this performance to the engineering and program management
* Coordination of engineering resources supporting the program ensuring timely, value-added components is provided
* Prepare and present engineering data and repair status at PPRs, QPMRs and technical meetings as required

Required Skills:

* Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least half of that in direct integration & test, testing/troubleshooting of Tactical Airborne Radars experience
* Experience leading and mentoring a team
* Presenter with prior responsibility for communicating and delivering messaging effectively with all levels of management and peers
* Active Secret and ability to obtain SAP/SAR Clearance
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
* EVMS Certification
* Ability to travel as needed

Desired Skills:

* Sustainment related management background
* General knowledge of Performance Based Logistics, Contractor Logistics Support practices and policies, and Repair of Repairable techniques

Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Science, other related technical discipline

Desired Education:
Masters degree in Engineering, Math, Science, other related technical discipline
