Position Overview
The scope of the group's responsibility is Shaker lab & Strength and Cyclic Lab
The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of less experienced engineers in setting up the labs in the San Antonio area. Upon full recommissioning of the labs, the candidate will set up and conduct physical testing and generate engineer reports based on results of the test. The candidate will also be used as a resource to lead less experienced engineers through their testing responsibilities. Some activities and skill sets that will be utilized are:
* Test Assembly - sockets & rachet, screwdrivers, impact tools, drills, etc
* Fabrication - Cutting / Drilling / Welding
* Fixture Design - NX / AutoCAD / material selection
* Fixture Construction (unistrut, angle plates, etc)
* Electronics - building / designing controller boxes
* Electronics - soldering / wiring / connecting / powering sensors
* Programming - Arduino, Excel, VBA, nCode, LabView, MTS
* Pneumatics - fitting install, air lines install, valves, needle valves, solenoids
* Hydraulics - pumps, plumbing / hoses, fittings, servo valves, accumulators
Basic Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* At least 8 years of experience in product design/development
* At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
OR
* Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* At least 6 years of experience in product design/development
* At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
OR
* PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* At least 3 years of experience in product design/development
* At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
