This is where you come in:
We are looking for a full-time copywriter in our New York City office that will be dedicated to the telling the story of how PepsiCo Design & Innovation teams are solving real problems, for real people in the real world through our award-winning work, design-led business integration and thought leadership in the design and marketing communities. These stories are told across all of our owned channelsnamely Instagram, design.pepsico.com, our podcast In Your Shoes, our annual design books and the occasional paid media ad. You will be responsible for learning, then honing PepsiCo Design & Innovations voice and the ultimate owner of our voice consistency across all channels. Youll have the opportunity to work directly with PepsiCos Chief Design Officer on these initiatives.
You will also create all copywriting for our case studies to highlight on our website and utilize for award submissions. This will include interviewing our brand and design team members to learn about the project challenges and solution, and crafting a compelling story about our work. Youll drive the format for how well talk about our work and help us drive an efficient process for creating these case studies.
Lastly, you will play a role on design projects from time to time to partner with designers to contribute copywriting concepts to bring PepsiCos portfolio of brands to life across various touchpoints from packaging to retail and food service experiences.

* You have experience developing a multi-layered voice, then nurturing it and maintaining it across all channels.
* You understand the nuances of social media and can outline a strategy for speaking to our audience, attracting new followers and developing messages that not only reflect a powerful message, but also get the reader to react in some way.
* You are a self-starter, can develop and manage a schedule, and are very organized.
* You are comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
* You might have journalism experience where youve had to research a topic and track down your storyin this case youll research the design challenge at hand and interview the project participants in order to tell the most compelling story.
* You might have agency experience where youve partnered closely with designers.
* You might have content strategy experience where youve made recommendations on cross-channel content.
* You love design in all forms and are curious about how Design Thinking can be used to solve real, human challenges.
* You play well with others and have a sense of humor.
Qualifications/Requirements
* B.A. in Journalism, or Advertising, or Creative Writing, or English, or pretty much any equivalent in education and experience
Knowledge/Skills:
* Highly refined writing skills
* Awesome grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills
* Active on social media a plus or a strong grasp of the functionality of various platforms
* Proficient with Mac computers, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite would be a plus
* Experience partnering with designers
* Excellent verbal communication skills in order to communicate ideas and present concepts
* Ability to solve problems strategically
* Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams
* Ability to create, track and manage timelines effectively
* Ability to manage multiple demands and responsibilities by effectively scheduling and prioritizing
* Ability to look for new ideas and approaches to problem-solving and contribute to continuous improvement of our process
Work Experience:
* At least 5 years of professional writing experience preferred
