Directive is looking for a growth minded SEO leader to join our talented team. As the Associate Director of SEO, you?ll be tasked with guiding the culture of our team, improving the quality and consistency of our SEO deliverable, and growing revenue through the success of our clients.

Team Management (30%)

* Lead a world-class team of up to 8 remote SEO professionals in the execution of innovative SEO campaigns for enterprise SaaS companies

* Level up the skills of each team member through mentorship, regular one-on-ones, individual development plans, and feedback

* Facilitate the mid share of the team by surfacing the wins and learnings of team members and bringing a fresh perspective SEO deliverables

* Support with department budgeting, including staffing and resource requirements like capacity planning

Client Retention & Growth (50%)

* Client facing responsibilities where you drive strategy in strategic moments and lead clients ambitiously to their goals at scale across your SEO team

* Build strategic relationships with your team?s client stakeholders

* Take responsibility for the performance of your team?s clients and play a key role in helping clients hit their goals.

* (20%) Manage 1-2 clients of your own including guiding client calls and delivering on SEO to reach the clients goals.

* Actively seek opportunities to grow client accounts through upsells or cross selling

SEO Deliverable Quality & Efficiency (20%)

* Regularly identify opportunities for the SEO team to deliver more effective and innovative deliverables

* Partner with Director of SEO in driving efficiency and scale across primary operational KPIs

* Understand changes to the marketplace and industry, adjusting client SEO strategies accordingly

What we are looking for:

* 5+ years in managing SEO teams in an agency environment (experience managing a remote team is a plus)

* Successful candidates will have a lean-forward, performance-marketing mindset, a clear POV on what is needed to drive performance success and curiosity for what?s ahead in the digital marketing industry

* Experience servicing and growing enterprise accounts

* Outstanding leadership and people management skills

* Stellar communication and presentation skills ? you?re poised, articulate and convincing

* Strong negotiation skills and a diplomatic ability to manage conflict

* Awesome creativity ? you push the envelope, embrace change and strive to continuously improve

* Exceptional ability to recruit, motivate and retain a world-class team

* Willingness to travel as needed ? you?re open to new places, new faces and new idea

* A clear, insightful vision for the future direction of the marketplace, with a track record of thought leadership in the SEO field

* Solid strategic skills and impressive understanding of the business from both market and P&L perspectives
