Job Summary

The intern will provide assistance on various natural gas transmission and storage projects in the Bridgeport, WV, Sabinsville, PA and Greensburg,PA area and will perform analysis, calculations, write reports, conduct research and perform other tasks as assigned. Limited exercise of judgment will be required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Individuals must have a desire to learn and produce as a part of a safety-conscious workplace.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Qualified candidates will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

* Currently be enrolled in a 4 year ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree Engineering program;
* Prefer Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical Engineering programs (Engineering Technology degree programs are not acceptable for Engineering internships at BHE GT&S).
* Students must have an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2021 and Spring 2024.
* Students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
* Active participation in a university engineering organization, especially in a leadership role;
* Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Products); ability to grasp new computer programs quickly;
* Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

Education Requirements

* Must currently be enrolled in a 4 year ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree Engineering program.
* Prefer Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical Engineering programs (Engineering Technology degree programs are not acceptable for Engineering internships at BHE GT&S).
* Students must have an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2021 and Spring 2024.
* Must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA (strongly prefer candidates with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA).
