Sr. Engineer-Network Operations

Desired Qualifications:
Strong communication, people, and presentation skills
Strong ability to work complex problems, evaluate information, and arrive at creative solutions
Understanding of monitoring/troubleshooting practices and procedures

5+ years managing at least two database technologies (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2 with HADR, MySQL, MariaDB)
5+ years experience with Linux, Windows, and Solaris
5+ years experience with system monitoring platforms
4+ years experience with scripting around system automation (Perl, Python)
5+ years experience supporting database backup and recovery
Ability to lead multiple projects and be accountable for outcome
Self-driven ability to continuously learn and apply new technologies

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Serve as Engineer and subject matter expert for all database types

Serve as backup for Configuration Management Lead using Saltstack
System design, implementation business continuity planning

Full stack ownership for internal products
Configure and troubleshoot systems; as well as, complex network problems.
Assisting architecture, planning, marketing, engineering, and operations organizations with design/implementation of new platforms/services
Tier III support
Interface with external vendors for troubleshooting; as well as, product enhancements.
Interface with internal/external leadership

Some light data center support

Job Requirements

College degree in Engineering or a related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 9 years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
