Store Merchandisers are responsible for independently driving all aspects of their business. A Store Merchandiser will support divisions on developing the store experience, including Shop by Category Stories, Shops and Themed events, through direct partnership with the Vice President, Directors, Merchandising Managers and buying teams.

In addition, the Store Merchandiser role requires working cross-divisionally as a liaison with other Merchandising Divisions, the Creative Team & Technology Teams while focusing on and developing strategies to exceed financial goals and increase customer engagement. They are the champion of the business by leading the product assortments for the Shop by Category experience.
Our ideal Store Merchandiser is ambitious in nature, manages priorities, comfortable working in cross-functional teams, organized, adept at delegating and passionate about the retail industry. Partners with Site Programming Manager on overall category business strategies, process improvement and overall customer experience. They are viewed as leaders on the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Focuses on product, category, new emerging trends, and the customer experience.
Responsible for event ideation, creation, and execution
Steps back and recognizes/celebrates the success of the team.

Leadership: Is a role model; thought of as the go to person; steps up and leads meetings and trainings
Identifies/actively seeks out brands, trends, products and white space that represent our customers needs
Is a passionate merchandiser and shares knowledge with the team.
Financial accountability for respective merchandising category
Build strong relationships with merchants and cross functional partners in Studio and Technology, focusing on category growth and tools improvement
Partners with the Merchandise Manager on calendar curation
Collaborative across the merchandising team and with cross functional groups
Ability to remain flexible and willing to change strategies as business needs dictate

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of work and experience
Minimum of 5+ years buying experience or relevant retail experience, plus 3 years management experience
Demonstrated understanding of merchandising financials and the ability to manage profitability
Experience in ecommerce preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
