The Pharmacy Liaison Representative position is responsible for acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for both customers and designated Regional Account Manager(s) in an assigned geography. The role is designed to provide customer service solutions regarding business issues. Additionally, this role is intended to build upon the customer interaction for increasing volume and market share. The Pharmacy Liaison Representative develops and builds on long-term effective relationships with Healthcare providers, affiliated pharmacy staff and support personnel in various customer locations in the assigned territory to promote the company's services and solutions. Additional responsibility includes growing customer commitment and sales volume. This is done through a balance of both inbound and outbound customer service interactions. Examples include providing patient updates, conducting proactive sales activities when responding to inquiries, and managing patient dashboard based on assigned physician NPIs.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for assigned customers, with designated Regional Account Manager(s) to support and grow key customer relationships.
* Execute on assigned goals.
* Develops and maintains productive and effective relationships with physicians, nurses, office managers and other applicable customers. Builds customer loyalty and engagement to Optum services by proactively interacting and promptly following-up on patient Rx inquiries.
* Develops and implements business plans, focusing on key performance measures and customer service solutions that positively impact goals, objectives and prioritized activities.
* Provide customers with unique, critical perspective on improving outcomes by providing solutions and key offerings that positively grow Optum's commercial relationship.
* Manages inbound and outbound e-mail, phone calls and faxes for customer service support and follow up. Proactively informs Regional Account Manager(s) of customer issues and resolutions when appropriate.
* Demonstrates an understanding of Pharmacy Operations process, life of a prescription at Optum and the Patient Journey. Understand and support internal processing functions.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the disease state(s), competitors, health care industry trends, etc.
* Collaborates and works closely with management and other departments in the organization.
* Effectively manages and administers territory budgets, expense reporting and internal system applications, including daily reporting of call activity in Salesforce
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* Travel may be required rarely at management discretion.

Required Qualifications:

* Associates Degree
* 1 year of customer service, medical billing, pharmaceutical or sales experience required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Products as follows; Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Ability to work schedule that will require 2 nights a week - 11:30AM - 8PM EST (never on a Friday)
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $17.12 to $30.34.
