How will you make an impact?
The Sr. Training Manager is a people leader and expert in the design, delivery and content management for an effective and complaint training program for the site. The Sr. Training Manag collaborates cross functionally in order that employees are trained in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), regulatory standards and organizational procedures. The position will play a vital role in promoting and implementing onboarding and training that supports the employee experience and drives organizational goals.
The Sr. Training Manager will be creative, resourceful and innovative in their approach to leading a team to successfully develop, implement and maintain an onboarding program, on-the-job trainings and overall excel technical skills.
What will you do?
* Lead a team to develop, implement, facilitate and manage learning solutions to support cGMP training objectives, ensure regulatory compliance and employee knowledge, skills and processes for overall effective job performance.
* Analyze and assess manufacturing, quality and compliance training effectiveness to ensure ongoing talent development strategies and regulatory compliance including SOPs and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
* Collaborate cross-functionally with site leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and measurement criteria to assess effectiveness of training program and monitor compliance metrics to enable accurate and timely reporting of key learning metrics.
* Support Regulatory inspections, client and global audits.
* Act as an internal consultant with site leadership team to target performance improvement needs, provide feedback and recommend training and non-training solutions, including human reliability and investigations of human errors.
How will you get here?
Education
* Bachelor's degree (required) in instructional design, organizational development, life sciences, industrial psychology or a related field. A master2019s degree preferred in a training/development field.
Experience
* 6 to 8 years of related work experience in training, instructional design or other development/training discipline in a corporate, scientific and/or biotech manufacturing environment including aseptic technique experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
* Minimum four years2019 experience leading a team of learning and development professionals on designing employee training programs and knowledge management using varied platforms.
* Experience working in ISO or cGMP operations, engineering or maintenance teams in fast paced production environment.
* Experience with skills qualification programs and developing training materials for OJT qualification process.
* Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate across the business.
* Demonstrated ability to present ideas persuasively and negotiate effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Strong understanding of adult learning theory and various learning methodologies.
* Exhibits strong communication, leadership and planning skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
* Proficient in cGMP2019s, safety and regulatory agency regulations, documentation practices and manufacturing processes to include technical understanding of mechanical systems, GMP processes, or process equipment needed to aid in technical conversations and investigations.
* Proficient at public speaking, teaching and facilitating to peers, staff, and management for different operational groups.
* Ability to recognize, understand and respond to situations requiring further evaluation and report these events (process, safety, personnel, etc.) to site leadership.
* Ability to function in a dynamic fast paced environment and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to aseptically gown and/or sterile gown.
