The Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) department at Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) in Andover, MA is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer with experience in semiconductor processing.

AMS develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, millimeter/microwave integrated circuits, and modules for defense and commercial applications. As a member of the AMS Department, the individual in this role will serve as a process engineer to lead development efforts for specified emerging semiconductor processes as well as support their transition to production, including documentation of operating procedures and early stage sustainment duties. In order to succeed at this role, the candidate should have a versatile background and experience in various aspects of wafer fabrication including two or more of the following areas: metal and dielectric deposition, etch, and photolithography. A broad understanding of other aspects of semiconductor processing, device physics, microelectronic circuit testing, and RF design is desirable.
The role requires collaborative team work and communication of project status. Experience in design of experiments, hands-on process development, and project management skills are preferred.

Required Education, Skill, and Experience:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry
* Six or more years of related work experience
* Experience with III-V compound semiconductor fabrication
* Experience with integrated circuit functionality
* US Citizenship is required

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Education, Skills, and Experience:

* MS degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Chemistry and 2+ years of experience or PhD and 4+ years of related experience
* Broad knowledge related to semiconductor processing, device physics, and data analysis
* Experience with processing of III-V compound semiconductor devices particularly Gallium Nitride or Gallium Arsenide
* Experience with characterizing, understanding, and improving semiconductor device performance and reliability
* Highly skilled at multitasking, having attention to details, and working in collaborative team environments
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to lead and coordinate technical projects with diverse and cross-functional teams

Security: Will require Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance; current clearance preferred.

This position requires the ability to obtain and hold a DoD secret security clearance.
