Raytheon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a technology development and mission support program. This position supports the Cybersecurity, Training, and Services (CTS) product line within Raytheon Intelligence and Space. The engineer will contribute and/or lead efforts by developing innovative engineering solutions from concept development through mission execution. The engineer will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to identify and develop innovative and practical solutions. The candidate must possess a positive attitude, initiative, and dedication to execute the programs development and mission support efforts. The candidate will have excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure the application of technical rigor and best practices throughout project lifecycles. This position includes responsibilities for understanding and developing design requirements, generating test plans, engineering analyses, testing, creating and updating designs, preparing fabrication drawings, coordinating with vendors, developing technical procedures, and preparing and delivering design reviews
Required Skills:
* Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance;
* Minimum four (4) years experience in a Mechanical or Systems Engineering role or related discipline;
* Experience with test planning, reports, and/or procedure documentation;
* Experience with CAD software package for mechanical design and documentation (SolidWorks preferred);
* Excellent written and oral communication skills;
* Proficient with MS Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
Desired Skills:
* Experience with engineering data analysis tools such as Matlab and Mathcad;
* Experience with electro-mechanical systems, automation/robotics, and sensors;
* Product development experience using rapid, iterative design and prototyping with frequent integration/test cycles;
* Computer programing skills.
Required Education:
* B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
U.S. Citizenship status required as this position needs an active Top Secret security clearance on day one of employment.
