The Production Planner plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture and distribution of OES-Woodridge products. The employee in this position is responsible for coordinating the production planning process. This process provides a vital link between all functional areas in the facility. Major responsibilities are in the creation of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and execution of the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) functions.
Your Essential Functions Will Include: Create, maintain, and adjust daily production schedules for each Production area of the business, which includes all subassembly production as well as all finished production Work with the production and customer service teams in all activities related to planning and scheduling SKUs Expedite operations (internally and externally) that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Ensure data integrity of schedules, planning data (lead-times, vendor specs, etc.), and Bills of Materials. Prepare weekly/monthly reports to analyze production/planning data. Load the production plan and forecast into the ERP system (MSS) Document and Communicate performance information: o Production Schedule Attainment o Production Change Trackers Participate in High Performance Team continuous improvement initiatives
Education: 4-year degree Supply Chain management or equivalent discipline Must Have Experience: At minimum 2 Years of Experience and/or exposure to supply chain concepts and methodologies, and manufacturing. Kanban management, development and implementation. Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities. Ability to use ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel required. Ability to use Microsoft Access preferred. Power BI experience preferred. Working knowledge of Quality Control measurement techniques Continuous Improvement training (e.g. LEAN, Six Sigma, 5S) preferred Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
Candidates with at least 5 years of automotive experience and APICS certification will be given priority.
