Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team of diverse professionals in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will become a part of our Northrop Grumman SEMA team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers

Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers

Executes and Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company policies and procedures including import/export regulations

In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules

Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.

Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities

Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation amp; warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded

Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.

Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Bachelors and at least 1 year experience in procurement experience. In lieu of formal degree, High School Diploma or

equivalent (GED) and at least 4 years of procurement experience

Microsoft Office proficiency

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Active Secret Clearance or higher

Bachelors and at least 1 year experience in procurement experience

Experience with SAP

Knowledge of FAR amp; DFAR supplements
