Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space and Security is currently looking for a System Engineer Level 4 in Berkeley, MO. The System Engineer in will lead a wide variety of Systems Engineering tasks to support a proprietary BDS program, ensuring our products meet performance requirements and are delivered to meet market and/or customer needs. This position leads program development of system architectures in an MBSE environment. The candidate should have experience in the Systems Engineering activities throughout the life cycle (such as requirements development, system design, verification planning and testing, etc.).

Position Responsibilities

* Lead Requirements Development
* Lead Model Development.
* Lead Functional Thread Workshops to help identify, design, and record highly complex/important design threads.
* The individual will need to be a self-starter, comfortable with identifying and solving problems, able to understand the big design picture (larger than just MBSE), and have good communication skills.
* Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and work both independently and as part of team.
* Strong oral and written communication skills are required.Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

* Bachelors degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
* Secret Clearance
* Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Experience leading with Systems Engineering Development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

* Experience with Systems Engineering Principles
* Experience leading Model Based System Engineering
* Previous experience with affordability analysis
* Experience leading systems architecture, requirements development and test & verification
* Knowledge of MBSE tools and languages (such as SysML Systems Modeling Language) is a strong plus
* Knowledge of SW languages and ability to write scripts and understand agile processes.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience, Master7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
