Product Development Manager - Home

The Product Development Manager executes the enterprise-wide private brand strategy for both the direct and indirect business by supporting and guiding the process for all key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provides support for and follows the strategic direction established by the Senior Product Development Manager.
* Assists the Senior Product Development Manager in ensuring the conceptual plan supports the agreed upon Private Brand strategy.
* Manages assigned competitive analysis, including quality comparisons, for related areas.
* Prepares analytical reports of business performance.
* Supports the Private Brand process and exclusive brands, if applicable.
* Manages the flex PLM process to ensure timely and accurate product packages.
* Manages the packaging and labeling requirement of each product package.
* Assists in the approval process to ensure completion within established timeline.
* Assists in managing the development process through Cycle Time Reduction (CTR) calendar management.
* Assists in facilitating weekly MAT meetings; assists in execution of key milestone meetings; prepares weekly meeting agendas and recaps.
* Assists in the Indirect process for private brands.
* Builds working relationship with cross-functional team to lead all partners involved in the creation/development of the Private Brand business.
* Assists and participates in Private Brand meetings to support strategies, resolutions, and make decisions in alignment with the strategic direction.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

* 4-year College degree preferred.
* 3 to 6 years' experience in retail buying or wholesale merchandising.
* Home Product Development Experience preferred
* Communication, organizing work, decision-making.
* Strong awareness of trends, merchandising strategies, and product assortment mix
