As a Project Execution lead in the Engineering and Architecture team in Merchant Services Technology, you will be developing, leading and driving cross-department strategic projects. This is a leadership position that combines strategic thinking and knowledge of industry trends, standards, best practices, firm-specific initiatives and relevant technologies to delivery best-in-class solutions leveraging people and subject matter expects across the firm. You'll work closely with senior leadership to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the department. You will be accountable for developing and delivering executive level reports to senior management. Meanwhile, you'll ensure that your Project Execution colleagues have the resources and guidance they need to deliver timely and relevant solutions. As a key professional in JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global technology group, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading talent in developing programs with broad and lasting implications.
This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* 3-5 Years in Financial Services
* 5+ Years as a Technology Program Manager
* Experience of PMO / portfolio management and delivering, or contributing to the delivery of, technology change projects
* Expertise working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals and priorities on time, within scope and on budget
* Proficiency in creating executive level communications e.g. producing decks/scorecards/data for senior leadership to a high standard
Effective communicator with excellent written communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence
* Execute and improve on architecture and portfolio governance processes to support the roadmap
* Strong understanding of different technological development toolsets, frameworks, architecture and integration patterns and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
* Ability to understand a diverse and complex technology and operations infrastructure
Ability to pick up new concepts and information quickly and to ask effective questions
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to quickly broker solutions and resolve conflict situations
* A strong understanding of financial control, budget management, risk management, and operations
* Ability to create and support a collaborative culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent
* Highly self-motivated and ability to remain calm under intense pressure.
* Experience with working with AWS is a plus
