DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Responsible for developing both online and offline/batch applications development. Understand the impacted systems architecture and functionality to build more autonomous teams in the organization to deliver more with less impediments/dependencies. Serve as the first point of contact to triage any critical production Issues with L1, L2 and L3 teams in timely manner. Resolve impediments/blockers for Front-end, Middleware and Back-end software application teams. Facilitate scrum events including but not limited to: daily scrum, refinement, planning, review and retrospective. Lead and coach the benefits of working in an agile manner, including agile practices, events and techniques to all employees within span of influence. Coach product owner to ensure the team is aligned with the Product vision, Product Backlog, Sprint goals, and other necessary information to produce the desired outcomes. Drive velocity improvements, lowering defect density and promoting more frequent deployments. Work with other Scrum Masters (via. Community of Practices) to increase the effectiveness of agile ways of working in the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education required: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum experience required: Five (5) years of experience in application development, maintenance, and production support, or related experience.
Skills required: Experience developing online applications. Experience developing batch job and offline applications for future dated transactions and end of day processing. Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle serving as a Developer, Systems Analyst, Project Manager and Scrum Master to build multiple feature teams. Experience facilitating Scrum activities including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives, Release Planning and Product Backlog refinement. Experience with impacted systems architecture and functionality to build autonomous teams that deliver more with less impediments/dependencies. Experience serving as the first point of contact to triage critical production Issues with L1, L2 and L3 teams. Experience developing Back-end, Middleware, and Front-end applications to remove impediments. Experience rewriting financial applications including migrations to quickly analyze production issues, quantify impact, support operations teams, minimize impact and involve appropriate teams for resolution based on the severity of the issue. Experience assessing the scrum maturity of a team and leading project work to ensure that deadlines are met. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
