Emerging Talent Program Internship Data & Analytics Overview
The Emerging Talent Consumer Bank & US Wealth Management Decision Sciences Intern will be focused on short-term analytical projects to deliver strategic analytical capability and/or actionable insight to drive decisions for the Consumer Bank and USWM.
Responsibilities
* Use data analysis techniques to develop insights that lead to new recommendations presented to management
* Supports advanced analytics using a limited assortment of modeling methods, algorithms and techniques, e.g., predictive modeling, text mining, statistical forecasting and analysis, optimization, and simulation modeling
* Supports quantitative and statistical analysis of large moderately complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve business performance
* Utilizes basic programming skills to build prototype solutions and develop production-ready analytical applications
* Assists in managing ongoing data input to, and information production from, databases
* Collect and clean data from diverse data sources and locate new data sources
Qualifications and Required Skills
* Pursuing a degree in a quantitative or related field
* Working knowledge of statistical software packages, including SAS, Python and R
* Familiarity with relational database concepts
* Basic knowledge of practical use of statistics
* Comfortable communicating analytic results with supervisor
* Strong execution capabilities
* Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
* Exercise sound judgment; act with integrity; protect our company, clients and customers
* Demonstrates full appreciation of and compliance with regulatory obligations
Duration will be June to August
